He finally feels understood

Janine’s support has been life-changing for our 14-year-old son. He has ADHD and autism, and before working with her, he was struggling in ways that affected every part of his life - school, confidence, emotional regulation, relationships and his view of himself. He often felt misunderstood, and as parents, we were worried about the path he was on.

What Janine did so well was take the time to truly understand him. She did not use a one-size-fits-all approach. She worked out what was behind the struggles, helped him make sense of how his brain works, and gave him practical, realistic strategies he could actually use. At the same time, she helped us understand how to support him more effectively at home and alongside school.

The change in him has been significant. He is more confident, more settled, and much better able to manage situations that would once have overwhelmed him. He has a stronger sense of who he is, what helps, and how to move forward. That has had a huge impact on his day-to-day life.

What matters most is that this support has not just helped in the moment. It has laid the foundations for the future. We know Janine’s work will continue to help him as he grows, and we are incredibly grateful for the difference she has made.
